NBA Board of Governors makes decision regarding Sacramento Kings home

BREAKING NEWS: News10 reports that the NBA Board of Governors has voted down the relocation of the Kings to Seattle. The vote was 22 to 8.

News10 covered the press conference in Dallas this afternoon on-air and online.

Commissioner David Stern stated at the press conference that he will help to faciliate the transferring of the ownership of the Maloofs to the Sacramento Group with Vivek Ranadivé in the next 24 to 48 hours.

Local girls’ volleyball team earns prestigious nod

Club comprised of Turlock, Hilmar girls invited to national tournament in Ohio

When you’re one of the top volleyball teams in Northern California, you tend to garner attention. Sometimes youeven get noticed on a national level.

That’s exactly what coach Fatima Handy andthe Sting Volleyball Club found out upon learning that the team was
awarded a bid to play in the 33rd Annual USA Volleyball Girls Junior National Championships to take place June 28 - July 2 in Columbus, Ohio.

Sting, a girls 12-and-under team consisting of 10 of the top players from Hilmar and Turlock, recently completed its
season with a 41-12 record, ranking second in the Northern California Volleyball Association (NCVA). This ranking
translates to Stingearning‘Gold’ status as one of the top 12 teams in theNCVA.
