MODESTO, CA - An Oakdale man in custody on charges he shot two people to death at the Oakdale Market last November has died.

Ryan Neal Mazzariello, 26, was found unresponsive in his single-person jail cell Thursday, said. Sgt. Anthony Bejaran with the Stanislaus County Sheriff's Department. Efforts to revive Mazzariello were unsuccessful.
Mazzariello was accused to gunning down 15-year-old Ruben Mora and 20-year-old Abel Calderon on Nov. 11.
The suspect's mother and a fellow National Guardsman said Mazzariello had been the target of threats and harassment at the market. The mother claimed her son suffered from Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD).
Bejaran said there would be an autopsy to determine the cause of death.
