Merced 3 year old in coma following BB gun shooting
MERCED, CA - A three-year-old Merced boy remains in a medically induced coma Tuesday, after being shot in the eye with a pellet gun on Saturday.
According to the Merced Sun-Star, Jaidyn Saelee was accidentally shot by his three-year-old cousin who was playing with a pellet gun during a barbecue at the family's home on the 4000 block of North Highway 59.
Merced County sheriff's deputies told the Sun-Star that the pellet entered the boy's head and lodged in his brain.
Saelee was transported to Children's Hospital of Central California, where he remains in critical condition.
