'Green' playground to be unveiled in Turlock Saturday

'Green' playground to be unveiled in Turlock Saturday

TURLOCK - GOT MILK? and Sunnyside Farms will donate an environmentally friendly playground in Turlock to demonstrate their support for healthy, strong families and green projects. More than 41,000 milk jugs were recycled to create a tan and green-colored, state-of-the-art children't playground at Bristol Park, replacing a nearly 20-year-old structure.

A celebration will be held on Saturday, July 16, at the park located at 2500 Castleview Drive, from 9 a.m. - 4 p.m. Community members are invited to help put the finishing installment touches on the green playground. A free BBQ lunch will be provided for all volunteers. The event will culiminate with a ribbon cutting ceremony with local and state officials.
