Saturday Afternoon Movie at the Oakdale Library

Come watch a seasonal favorite at the Oakdale Library on Saturday, Nov. 17 at 2 p.m. Participants will have the opportunity to watch the classic “A Charlie Brown Thanksgiving.” The audience is sure to be entertained by the adventures of Snoopy, Charlie, and the rest of the Peanuts gang. Books will also be displayed and available for checkout during the showing.

Entrance fee waived at national parks Nov.10-12

YOSEMITE NATIONAL PARK - In recognition of Veterans Day, Nov. 11, national parks are waiving entrance fees on Saturday, Nov. 10 through Monday, Nov. 12.

Yosemite National Park spokeswoman Kari Cobb says the fee waiver applies to entrance to the park only. Other fees for camping, lodging and other park activities remain in effect.

The entrance fee waiver at national parks is offered five times a year on specific weekends or days. The Veterans Day weekend fee waiver began 2006.

According to the National Park Service, 264 of 398 national parks don't have an entrance fee.
